One Shot
Belgium’s gallery space, B.P.S.22 has scheduled an exhibitions dedicated to football and contemporary art. “One Shot” brings out the relationship that current artists hold with the world of football. There will be two works that illustrate the graduale installation of football media – a video portrait of Zidane by Douglas Gordon and Philippe Parrione and a video portrait of George Best by Hellmuth Costard. According to the press conference release, “between these two filmed works, more than thirty years have passed, marked by fundamental changes in the world, for which the exhibition presented at the B.P.S.22 is intended to be an echo through works which approach or question football and its connections.” One Shot will run from March 6th to July 11th 2010.

No Sleep
It’s time for me to get back on my work mode. I need to juggle being an intern, a full-time student, work, and booking season for the next few months. This means longer days and less sleep. It’s okay, some of it is all fun for me. Like the Nike Fall 2010 booking I just went to. Dang I wish I could show you previews of an upcoming Tier Zero shoe…
Standard California x Porter Wool Day Pack
Blogs like ACL are constantly reminding us that Americana goods and heritage brands are doing big things for our market. While the japanese have been on that tip for over a decade already, Standard California is one of the shops out there providing this demand in Tokyo.
Having recently teamed up with Porter, there is a nice mix of subtle Americana with a very classic Porter look to this item. A Standard California patch is found on the front, while the Porter label is hidden in between seams. Porter’s usual backpacks feature technicalities that aren’t always flattering for a girl, this, however is much more minimal and suited for girls like myself.
The wool backpack is available in a deep wine or black.

RFC Week 9 Program
The Ringleaders is a community based street football club from Montreal. Their unique collective of creative minds shares a common passion for life and football. Occasionally I play with them during their practices and blog for them. Angelo the Greek powerhouse behind The Ringleaders asked me to create their Week 9 Program. How it works is each week an RFC member creates a program that presents the next game match. My program was inspired by Hooliganism and early Hardcore/Punk show flyers. Vincent helped out on the art direction of the piece. Couldn’t do it without him.
Old Gold: Vintage Air Pegasus 1992
Felt like an 06 day. Dusted off some of the orange boxes to bring a smile on my face. Pulled out my vintage Air Pegasus ’92. Found these awhile back on the internet for 30$. That was always the bonus side of being a sneakerhead, having small feet meant the OG runners would cost nothing. Nobody wants them but me.
Pendleton x Opening Ceremony Take 2
Spring is looking pretty in plaid with Opening Ceremony and Pendleton‘s new lookbook. Teasing us with a beach backdrop in the Spring ’10 spread, their take 2 collection will have you looking forward to warmer days. With a combination of different plaid prints and lightweight fabrics, we see navajo print jackets, mini skirts, tattoos, and bike rides along the coast. Could we ask for much more for spring?
Kusmi Tea
I’ve recently discovered the Kusmi Tea store on St-Denis. Me + tea shops = a kid in a candy store.
If you are a green tea lover, I would suggest the following from Kusmi Tea:
+ ginger-lemon green tea
+ green tea flavored with almond
+ Chinese green tea flavored with bergamot citrus fruits and flowers
+ Chinese green tea flavored with scents of buffalo grass
New Balance: Made in the USA
I fucking love this clip. New Balance is the only athletic shoe manufacturer still making shoes in the US. 25% of their shoes sold in North America are made or assembled right in their 5 New England factories. With each generation they continue to improve the quality of their sneakers. While other companies are making their goods offshore, New Balance show their true heritage by bearing their “Made in the USA” tag.
